Information on the Old Wanderers
Started life in the inaugural veterans league as Britannia OB FC. After 2 seasons split affiliation and started up as Old Wanderers FC playing out of Hanslope, located on the South Northants/North Bucks border.
Major successes so far have been in reaching the veterans plate final in 1999.
Unfortunately haven't fulfilled their true potential.

The Players
Stuart McCulloch - Goalkeeper.
Past Player of the season. Emulates the great Lev Yashin in his style of play.
Paul Wilkinson - Defender.
Tough tackling defender. Very reminiscent of Norman Hunter, also with the same nickname.
Phil Robinson - Midfielder.
Works very hard and is very persistent. Looks like a mexican bandido and will rob you of possession whenever possible, also present holder of the player of the season award.
Ian McCulloch - Forward.
Striker leads the line and holds up the ball very much reminiscent of Mark Hughes. Always optimistically awaiting a pass.
Dave Baker - Midfielder.
Good at set pieces. Tends to bewilder himself as much as the defender he is against.
Brian Gibson - Midfielder/Forward.
Terrific shot with very little backlift. Unfortunately passes in the same way, which is challenging to his teammates.
Andy Joy - Defender.
Bedrock of the defence. Likes to go on teasing runs forward, which worry both teams.
Dave Care - Midfielder/Forward.
Will run all day and has pace akin to Michael Owen but alas also the control.
Sheridan Keech - Midfielder.
The experience in the team. Will given time deliver a killer ball, but does not always have that time.
Mick Gyori - Defender.
Solid Defender. Lacks pace but plays the game with intelligence. Also knows the laws of the game inside out.
Geoff Parker - Midfielder.
Good left foot. Likes to take set pieces.Unfortunately as one of the taller members of the team needs to get on the end of them as well!, Winner of the Managers Player of the season award.
Charlie Walmsley - Defender.
Another Solid Defender. Adopts the attitude of "none will pass" and this does mean alive or dead.
Keith Phillips - Midfielder.
Hard Working Midfielder with a good measure of skill to back up his play. Not always as confident as he should be.
Robert Fletcher - Midfielder/Forward.
Utility player. Gives a good solid performance whether up front or operating from midfield. Only fault is that he doesn't work back as enthusiastically as he does going forward.
Wayne Blundell - Defender.
Solid in the centre of defence. Very vocal, only let down by the fact he travels to matches in the same car as Dave Baker.
Paul Dickson - Midfielder.
Elusive talented midfielder. Hard to mark as he rarely makes games.
